Moss Waxed Amaryllis Bulb
Waxed Amaryllis Bulb Care
Waxed amaryllis bulbs are easy to care for and require minimal attention:
Lifespan: Waxed amaryllis bulbs are a single-use plant and will not bloom again in subsequent years.
Safety: Keep waxed amaryllis bulbs away from pets and children.
Light: Place the bulb in a location with bright, indirect light and avoid direct sunlight.
Temperature: Keep the bulb at room temperature.
Rotation: Rotate the bulb every few days to help it grow straight.
Watering: Waxed amaryllis bulbs do not need to be watered because the bulb contains all the moisture and nutrients it needs.
Bloom time: Flower stalks will emerge in about 4 to 6 weeks and bloom for about 3 weeks.
If you want to try to rebloom a waxed amaryllis bulb, you can try these steps:
- Place the bulb on a damp paper towel in a sunny window.
- Check the bulb daily or every few days to keep the towel damp.
- When the bulb has 4 to 5 roots that are about 3 inches long, place it in a flower pot with potting soil.
- Water the bulb regularly.
