Pineapple Birdhouse with Fern

Foxtail Ferns have great personality. Part of the Asparagus Fern family, they can tolerate shade or full sun. These ferns can take a little neglect and don't mind drying out between waterings. These are slow growers, they can fit into tighter spaces than other fern varieties. In the shade they will develop a deeper emerald green color and longer fronds. In full sun they become a brighter shade of green with shorter, stockier fronds. Remove any dead or damaged fronds at the base. Overwintering indoors is possible if you keep your fern watered and protected from freezing temps.
